Todd Mellors shapes sound like a filmmaker shapes light. Performing as Saifir, he bends field recordings, broken machines, and handmade instruments into living atmospheres—part dream, part memory.
With over three decades in sound design and composition, and years spent inside the worlds of Avid, Apple, and Adobe, he fuses precision engineering with raw emotion.
His label, Rimco Records, is home to collaborations with Xambuca, Flakbond, and members of Psychic TV—works that blur the line between music and film, noise and narrative. Influenced by the surreal visions of David Lynch, Percy Adlon, and Jim Jarmusch, Todd composes for film and visual media where silence carries as much weight as sound.
From his studio in Oakland, California, he continues to explore the hidden spaces between tone and texture—where each frequency tells a story, and every echo feels like a ghost.
